This is THE place to be when it comes to satisfying any cravings for the best in wholefoods and all things homemade with a wider emphasis on well-being for all.

The Hub Cafe & Community enterprise is in a former Methodist Chapel, in the heart of Appleby-in-Westmorland. In early 2015 the future of the centre was in jeopardy. Severe flooding in 2015 meant that significant investment was needed by Cumbrian charity, The Oaklea Trust to get the venture back on its feet and, in the Spring of 2016, the Appleby Hub was launched.

The Hub Cafe is open Wednesday to Saturday, from 10am to 3pm with a menu full to the brim with tasty whole-foods & everything prepared by the Right2Work team (you can also take away our Hub made bread and much more).

In Summer 2020 – our craft shop opened full of lovely work from local artisans and a well organised and stocked second hand bookshop run by Appleby Rotary.

It’s all part of the vision for the centre to be a ‘hub’ for the local community and for all interests, ages and abilities with a focus on creativity and well-being.(The Hub Cafe offers day opportunities for people with learning disabilities).

The Eden Workshop at Appleby Hub!

Jane at “The Eden Workshop” offers quality workshops as well as drop in crafts, developing craft kits to sell and much more. Jane finds the best tutors and invites them to share their skills, the workshops are small, generally max of 7 so they are informal thus offering plenty of opportunity to interact with each other & the tutor.
