Our parent, the Oaklea Group, has just released it’s Annual Report for 2020 – and of course we at R2W feature! It reflects March 2019-March 2020 but of course also takes in the momentous events of the past year too, as that has had such an impact on our work and those we support.
The document is online only for now due to Covid19 and you can download it here https://indd.adobe.com/view/3f5b9956-1939-44c2-beba-c88fcd1e2f9f or grab a pdf version here Oaklea Annual Report 2019_20_WEB
This is what R2W Director (and Oaklea CEO) Clive Wigley had to say:
“Community Works, part of Right2Work, has continued to go from strength to strength, having just completed a major contract to renovate changing facilities for a football club and due to business growth has recently recruited new employees. The Hub within Appleby has now re-opened and its café is welcoming customers to the same level as pre-Covid.”
It has been a challenging year adds Clive:
“If someone had said to me that we would have to furlough and isolate employees, insist that we work within bubbles, limit the number of learners at Right2Work, working socially distant from one another, and wear full PPE in supporting roles and masks when going into the office, I would have thought it a bad dream that could never happen. This is the new reality.”
Did you know:
- R2W ran at full capacity for Learners
- The Furniture Warehouse diverted 135 tonnes from landfill (an increase of 5 tonnes from previous year)
- A new social enterprise was introduced with great success – Community Works
