As you will be aware Cumbria entered Tier 4 Covid regulations just before the New Year kicked in – so please be aware of what is and isn’t open at R2W (and do bear with us as this is an evolving situation over the coming weeks and will be subject to change).
The changes announced by HM Government will have some impact on some of what we do across R2W -please make a note of the following:
The main impact will be:
The Furniture Warehouse (TFW):
Our retail outlet is closed to the public; however, our day services and SLDC collections will continue with day service groups being limited to 15 people and working within a COVID safe environment. (To book a bulky waste collection call SLDC 01539 733 333)
(Above Robert from TFW – in 2020 the R2W team ensured learners and staff were on top of staying Covid safe)
Appleby Hub & The Eden Workshop:
The Hub café is now closed. Some activities based at the Hub may be able to continue in line with COVID secure rules and Government guidance (The Eden Workshop).
Work & Learn:
Our Work & Learn operations remain open, with the exception of Supported Internships which are currently on hold due to college closures.
Community Works:
We are still providing a Community Works service however this is now restricted to outdoor, essential work, including work to community buildings currently closed to the public. We will not be able to enter private homes to carry out work at present, which includes providing estimates.
