The government have now given the go ahead for Cafe’s to re-open – with social distancing in place. As a result the Appleby Hub cafe will be back on Wednesday 8 July. Normal opening hours 1000-1500 Wednesday-Saturday. We look forward to welcoming you back -we know many of you have missed us and we have missed you!
The team have been busy getting the Main Hall ready -as this will be the new home for the Hub Cafe – it’s looking great -just needs people now – you know what to do! CU Wednesday!
The R2W Learners have been involved in getting the look just right…
There’s also lots of new stunning signage (big thanks to the deft hand of Simon from Dufton YHA)
On top of this the Rotary Club bookshop will be available and Eden Workshop has moved downstairs into the old cafe space – activities are planned plus there will be a craft retail area. You won’t need Sat Nav….but socially distant browsing welcome – there’s a lot going on!
Food delivery
We will also be continuing the food delivery service with ‘Bulgy Bus’ (so called thanks to Chris-mas Pantechis from fellow R2W social enterprise The Furniture Warehouse!) -this reflects the fact that we are aware many of our regulars are still shielding or remain vulnerable.
The new look ‘Bulgy’ Bus started with it’s new costume this week -and caused quite a stir with Hub regulars – definitely got the thumbs up!
How to order
We request that any orders for delivery are made before 1030 each day to relieve pressure on the kitchen team M: 07435 970633 -or leave messages via the Appleby Hub Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Appleby Hub) -we also post the daily menu and delivery offer on Facebook and other Oaklea social media daily -so keep an eye out (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIN etc).
