R2W ‘Work & Learn’ team are always cooking up a perfect recipe for success! Across Cumbria they support young people to enter the jobs market or training. A recent tasty example is Jenssen from the Furness area.
Claire Round, R2W Employment Advisor in Barrow/Furness explains:”This is Jenssen, one of our Furness learners. He has started his placement at The Round House Hub & Cafe” on Walney Island. He’s learning and completing tasks to support the day to day running of the Hub including serving customers, cleaning tables, washing pots, slicing cakes and generally helping out. Once the kitchen is completed he will begin to bake his own cakes to sell in the Hub. You can also see him using his maths skills to add up amounts and give the correct change. This is all down to the efforts of Jenssen and his R2W Job coach -a tasty team!”
